THE ‘REAL’ BANANA ICE-CREAM

Posted by on

This is by far the easiest, healthiest and most delicious banana ice-cream I have ever eaten. All you need is banana; no sugar or milk needed. When banana go on sale in the store, it is usually really ripe and it is about to spoil soon. Buy the banana, chop them up and throw it in the freezer. It could last you for at least 2 weeks. When you are ready for some banana ice-cream, take them out and grind it in the mixer. The trick is to let it cool down for it so that it is easier to grind. I put some Oreo and Pecan nuts topping. Totally down to try to chili flakes or dark chocolate the next time!

Another happy ice-cream day!

CHRISTMAS PRESENT: MARINATED FETA

One of the other perks of having a herb garden, Marinated Feta Cheese! When the season are changing and herb are drying, it time to harvest and make some yummy cheese. I used Lemon zest, Rosemary, Pepper, dried Chili, Pepper and Oregano. The cheese spread on hot toasted bread in the cold winter, Yums! The oil can use for salad or Aglio Olio pasta.

Put a cloth around it and spray your friend’s initial to make it extra special. Taking any herbs and have fun with it.

FLOWERS WITH JOY THIGPEN

I can’t tell you how happy I am to work with Joy Thigpen. With 3 little ones and another in her tummy, she picked me at the train station the day before the wedding. The first things we did was to go leaf hunting around the neighborhood. All these wonderful flower creations are all credited to Joy. She taught me to appreciate all the beautiful commodity nature has to offer  🙂

Thank you Robyn the Awesome for hosting me at your beautiful home. It’s so wonderful that I can wake up in the morning; feeling warm, chicken and squirrel running in the backyard and eating organic eggs from the backyard chicken’s.

It is Autumn now and the leaves are falling fast. We drove around and found some beautiful Ginkgo Tree. It’s Tree Climbing time!!!

AN AUTMUN GIFT

Posted by on

Holla from Atlanta, the land of the great Martin Luther King and evil Coca-Cola. I just worked with Joy on a wedding last saturday doing flowers and it has been great. I have decided to make a small gift for her. So, here goes!

A plant or herb is always a great gift. It is something that we use for cooking and it could last a long time if well taken care of. The problem with buying herbs from a home improvement department or supermarket is that they do not last long because they are not made to. To work around that problem, we could replant them in a bigger pot in good garden soil or by taking cuttings from a larger plant. Here are some tips for growing Rosemary. I decorate the pot with dry twigs around it. Pictures are below 🙂
